Jaunt Skills
Dreamcatcher: His consort bracelet is now able to capture and hold dream energy that can be used for various purposes.
Know Motivation: Whenever Stone's Dreamcatcher is full, he may expend the power in it to know what the emotional motivation of any single target he looks at is-- a sure way to tell Oracle from Champion, Adversary from Pillar. However, the psychological insights granted are not limited to that.
Oracular Knowledge (Age): Stone can tell how old someone or something is, what general Age they come from relative to his own, and if someone is close to death of natural or inexorable causes (age, terminal illness, etc) he can tell how long they have left.
Oracle Familiar: The large, meat-eating, flightless bird spirit named Azure (the name annoys him a little) followed him back from Questing Country.
Elsewhere Cat: A Fae-touched "Other" cat. Cats outside the world of Elsewhere U cannot see through Glamours, but this one can. Can walk through twisted spacetime. A cat currently in service to Fae must be paid for in a Deal. This is used mainly to give Azure a smaller and more portable form. From Elsewhere University.
Sight: The ability to see through glamours and illusions, as well as through Masks of Changelings. From Elsewhere University.
Demon Form: Stone can assume the form of Skamaris, the Marquis of the 66th. This means he can both fly, talk, and have a tail all at the same time, and without being huge. He loves this. From Market of the Vanities. (February AC)
Fight As One: Grants all warriors obeying your commands your physical strength, weapon skill, and durability; grants any diplomats obeying your commands your ability with grammar, logic, and rhetoric. After the Jaunt, usable once per Jaunt. If you do not issue commands, the power ceases operation; if any disobeys your commands or leaves your presence or that of any familiar or companion spirit you send with them, the power ceases to affect them. From Market of the Vanities. (March AC)
Beastfolk form - naga: A half-human, half-snake DNA splice with two arms, a long tail, a blunt snake-like face, and a mane of spines like a Raksuran consort. Unfortunately, he is also very, very old in this form, with all of Stone-the-naga's age-related health problems. (Beastfolk)
Unconquerable Mind: The ability to notice and resist subversive attempts to alter one's memories, ideals, and/or thought patterns. Post Jaunt, this skill must be consciously activated in order to work and each activation lasts for one hour per week. (Beastfolk)
Basic pottery: Stone is the first full aeriat to actually be able to make something artistic. He can now make pottery! Learned from Stone-the-naga. (Beastfolk)
S-Tech Empathy: Use of S-Tech to gauge the mood of any machine, but particularly ships and mecha suits. Useful for diagnosing problems and for using machines to their best efficiency. Accompanied by random music manifesting around him.

C H A R A C T E R;
NAME: Stone of the Indigo Cloud Court
CANON: Books of the Raksura
POINT IN CANON: A year or so past the end of Harbors of the Sun, the last book in the series. Enough time for him to start getting restless.
AGE: Somewhere between 400 and 500, he’s lost count
APPEARANCE:
The big one is Stone. Normally he’s obscured a little around the edges by a blurring effect, some artifact of his age combining with his power and the peculiar nature of Raksura shapeshifting. He has wings, protective scales and ridges along his body, a lot of spines and long, soft scales called “frills” in a mane down his back, and he is comfortable moving both on two legs (making him very tall) or on all fours (making him only slightly less tall). He can’t talk in this form, but he can growl and communicate some with his spines. He’s lighter than he looks, with nearly hollow bones like a bird, and his wings in canon are sixty “paces” from tip to tip, which might translate into anywhere between 70 and 80 feet. Also, his tail is semi-prehensile and he could, if he found anything big enough, hang upside-down from it.

In groundling form, Stone looks basically human, aside from the fact that his skin is dull gray, like his shaggy hair. His canine teeth and the teeth right next to them and some of his molars are sharper than a human’s would be, made for tearing meat off of bones, and his tongue is longer and thinner than a human’s tongue, but otherwise, he pretty much looks human. He’s tall and lean, weathered and lined as much by travel as by age, and one blue eye is clouded over and partially blind.

Played by Jeremy Irons. In grayscale.

For anyone unfamiliar with the 66th Army of Hell, it takes a surprisingly short amount of time for all of them to mobilize in the morning. But that army has been been well-fed and well-entertained over the past few weeks, with little to actually keep them busy beyond the day-to-day tasks of keeping the camp in order, and most of them are ready to get a move on to something new now that the excitement of the new princedom and the paylays have been completed. It helps that between revels, the past few days have been spent slowly packing things up, so by the morning they're officially on their way, all that's left is taking down the tents and collecting their own shares of the burden.

Skamaris oversees the process, redistributing pieces here and there, encouraging and scolding as needed. And then he comes to the two "freeloaders" as his soldiers have been quietly calling them-- with amusement more than scorn, because they all knew today would come.

A demon drops a piece of the army's load in front of Bartholomew and Asier, both. Skamaris says, "These are your loads. Each one makes up your tent and personal belongings, as well as a portion of the communal mess tend. They should be bearable, given your respective strengths."
