They never really defined the nature of their relationship like most other Travelers tended to, but there is a very distinct sense of mine in how Gale feels for Stone. It's never been jealous or possessive, Gale just isn't that way, but it's still there. He lost his tribe years ago, the pack too now since all this happened. He doesn't want to lose Stone too.
